– The draw is divided into separate zones, Western 20 teams in 5 groups (AE), Eastern 20 teams in 5 groups (FJ).
-Clubs from the same nation will not be in the same group.
– The group champions of every group and the 2nd best 3 teams in each zone will advance to the round of 16 teams.
– Clubs from the western and western zones will meet in the final.
