Kretzhaus. On August 22, 2023, at around 7:00 p.m., a fatal traffic accident occurred on the L 253 between the locations of Linz and Kretzhaus. A 35-year-old motorcyclist drove the L 253 coming from Linz in the direction of Kretzhaus. A 59-year-old car driver drove the L 253 in the opposite direction. For reasons that are still unclear, both vehicles collided with each other at the exit of a right-hand bend. The motorcyclist sustained such serious injuries that he died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the car suffered shock and was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. The L 253 was completely closed for 3.5 hours while the accident was being recorded.
