Arsenal de Sarandí’s central defender, Maximiliano Centurión, will be sidelined from activity for several months, after it was confirmed this Tuesday that he suffered a torn ligament in one of his knees.

The Buenos Aires institution confirmed this Tuesday that the 24-year-old defender is affected by “a tear of the anterior cruciate, internal meniscus and internal medial collateral ligament of the left knee.”
The former Argentinos Juniors and Defensores de Belgrano player will undergo surgery in the coming days and his recovery will take between six and eight months, approximately.

Centurión was injured last Sunday in the commitment that Arsenal lost at home against Instituto de Córdoba 1-0. The player left the court at 24m. of the second half and was replaced by Ignacio Gariglio, who is shaping up to be his substitute in Friday’s match against Argentinos Juniors, also in Sarandí, for the second date of the Professional League Cup (LPF).

Meanwhile, midfielder Tiago Banega, with little filming in the team led by DT Federico Vilar, could be loaned to Unión de Santa Fe, which intends to incorporate him for 18 months.
