In the past few days, various grassroots party organizations and party members and cadres in Wuchang City have been racing against time to devote themselves to the post-disaster reconstruction work, so that the party flag is flying high in the front line of disaster relief and reconstruction.
The Wuchang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held several special meetings to study and deploy post-disaster recovery and reconstruction work, and the progress of daily scheduling. Municipal leaders went to Baobao townships to provide guidance and assistance on post-disaster reconstruction work. 1,320 party members and cadres were mixed to form 240 post-disaster reconstruction assistance working groups. Among them, Harbin sent 120 municipal party members and cadres to help rebuild 60 key villages that were more seriously affected by the disaster.
Each working group immediately set up a temporary party organization, and built the party organization on the front line of post-disaster reconstruction. The working group went to the house to carry out the investigation of the disaster situation, classified and formed the work ledger, and widely listened to the opinions of the masses.
As of August 17, 3,505 opinions and suggestions from the masses on life security, production funds, and housing maintenance have been collected and sorted out, and 75 opinions and suggestions have been put forward on the issue of mobilization and arrangement, so as to secure the bottom line of people’s livelihood and provide a detailed basis for the overall planning of post-disaster reconstruction.
Party organizations at all levels, party members and cadres came from all directions.
The Party Committee of the Wuchang Municipal Health Bureau established 25 steering groups, dispatched more than 930 person-times, carried out more than 320 rounds of infectious disease inspections, carried out post-disaster epidemic prevention guidance, and promoted disaster relief, medical treatment, and epidemic prevention. 150 Party members of Wuchang Agriculture and Rural Bureau’s party group went to villages to track and count disaster data on crops, animal husbandry, farmland facilities, etc., and went to the field to guide post-disaster production recovery.
The 24 township party committees in Wuchang City organized party members, cadres, grid workers, and volunteers to work together to integrate professional machinery to repair damaged roads and river embankment breaches, so that the people in the resettlement sites could return home immediately. Give full play to the role of a strong battle fortress and backbone, and accelerate the restoration of infrastructure, garbage removal, and environmental disinfection.
Yachen Middle School in Wuchang City properly accommodated more than 3,000 affected people, and dispatched professional party members and teachers to provide psychological counseling for the affected people, so as to appease the emotions of the people, and the temporary resettlement site is warm and “not temporary”. The Wuchang City Transportation Bureau rushed to repair the water-damaged roads at the fastest speed. In order to avoid traffic accidents, it set up duty stations on both sides of the water-damaged roads to persuade vehicles to detour, opened a “green channel” to ensure the passage of disaster relief vehicles, and spared no effort to repair the damaged trunk lines. Highways, to ensure the safety and smoothness of post-disaster reconstruction channels. The Wuchang City Justice Bureau actively called on party members and cadres to donate 16,000 yuan. The Municipal Water Affairs Bureau dispatched more than 600 party members and cadres to sink to the front line to urgently repair the city’s water damage projects and urgently maintain the urban water supply and drainage systems. The safety of drinking water for the masses is guaranteed throughout the process.
