Bassil added, “As we did in the past, an electoral law that corrected representation, today we are working on an expanded decentralization law that corrects regional development, and a trust fund law that corrects national development, and with the state-building project, we will have a system of laws and order that allows the Lebanese to live in luxury and dignity instead of the humiliation and indignity that prevailed.” They live at the hands of the corruption system.
And he continued, “Imagine what it means for Keserwan, Jbeil, Akkar, the Bekaa and the south, they are no longer waiting for the money to be kind to them, to pay them their revenues, and they are able to secure a solution for waste, roads and renewable energy! …?”
Basil stressed, “The current does not make mistakes in strategic and national choices! Trust us that we are, either we will get you a president of the republic whom you are not ashamed of, or we will give you something much more important than the president of the republic, such as decentralization and the Fund! Otherwise, we will not be part of a failed project…Who says these are rights.” It is not a favor from anyone, it was reported that you have been silent for 33 years, we did not hear your sense when they did not click, and now there is an opportunity, even if it is small, that they get the current, they have become rights they deserve and have no value… Go to their pocket and we will see! And he affirmed, “Riyad Salameh stole a people and did not bat an eyelid, and the beneficiaries of Riyadh have yellow pens like their faces, and their black words like their intentions. They have not stopped distorting the truth, misleading people, and accusing the current of collapse. It is lost, divided, and the file is lost. Any negligence or delay, we will resort to the external judiciary or institutions abroad to pursue and punish the delinquent judges.”
He continued, “The Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Public Prosecution Office of Discrimination, the judicial inspection, all concerned judges, all of them have a responsibility to break the silence and watch the biggest crime against the Lebanese people… What are we waiting for?
How many hours did the Public Prosecutor of Cassation review and refer the file to the Financial Public Prosecutor and the Appeal Public Prosecution Office in Beirut and to the Special Investigation Commission? Bassil asserted, “Every resource and wealth in the country is entrusted to us – oil and gas are our trust and we have preserved them to this day, and we will not leave them in the hands of those who prevented them for decades and obstructed them for years of our lives and suspended their ceremonies for four years of our days and gave us the opportunity at its time and today we are running to imagine by helicopter!
