Fuel prices at gas stations are currently at their peak. Diesel fuel in particular has experienced an enormous increase since the end of the period, i.e. during that week, it rose by 4.50 K. Only a weak half was taken care of by the 1.50 K returnable consumption tax, which began to apply on August 1. Therefore, the general situation on the wholesale fuel market, where high oil prices, the weak crown and thus the shutdown of some production operations, played a role. The price of gasoline (Natural 95) rose by only K 1.60 during the same period, with an average price of K 39.48. It is therefore the most expensive since November. Diesel then rose to the highest level since December to the current K37.70. The price difference between the two fuels rose to almost K1.80. The last time the market split was in March. It can be changed that, on the contrary, a record 5.60 K difference between the two fuels was reached at the end of May.
However, the situation should stabilize now, the price increase at gas stations should be behind them for the next few weeks. The main factor is, of course, oil prices. They didn’t reach the maximum in August last year, and now it seems that they won’t even reach it until the end of the holidays. In light of the economic situation in the world, especially in the heavily monitored economy, its economy has lost its dynamism.
The price of Brent crude oil, after rising to USD 88 on the first of August, is now holding below the level of USD 85. The house of mine then stabilized, oscillating slightly above the 22 K/USD mark. In addition, the main summer motoring meeting was slowly coming to an end. In short, the summary factor manifests itself in the wholesale market, where you can even notice a slight drop in prices. For example, the epro company reduced the price of diesel and gasoline by 10 hal in its basic price for the last week.
As we know, the ONO (Tank-ONO) company is the price leader in our market. The first of their 44 gas stations spoke before the weekend about the average prices for diesel, when it dropped to 36.50 K at the stand. The last time customers refueled with such expensive diesel was in December last year. This year in May, on the other hand, they could stretch their sheet metal here for the cheapest price in 2 years for only 28.90 K, i.e. 7.60 K cheaper than now. It can be added that ONO keeps the price of Natural 95 at K37.90.
In comparison to our main power lines (business lines), the price situation here is quite standard. For example, on D1, where a positive price is usually generated by perhaps only the Unicorn erpac station, the prices are comparatively up to 5 K. Which is actually a slightly better situation, but not usually, when the difference is on the level of 5-6 K. We can mention the extreme case from April this summer, when the D1 erpac station did not respond to a strong discount from
parties refinery. Back then, compared to ONO, you could pay more than 9.60 K per liter for diesel…
