Two Bonuses will allow you to renovate your home by spending half. Let’s find out how they work and which one is best suited to your needs.
The State helps citizens to renovate their homes by providing two subsidies that allow for savings of 50%. Unmissable opportunities especially after the Case Green Directive.
If you’re wondering why you should renovate your home, we have the answer, indeed the European Union does. By 2030 all residential buildings must have energy class E. What is the class of your property? It probably does not exceed G like 70% of Italian houses. This means having to spend large sums of money to make the home more energy efficient.
We are not talking about redoing the floors and systems, repainting but investing in thermal insulation, solar panels, new windows and the replacement of old gas boilers. Interventions whose total cost is around 50 thousand euros. You need to save, that’s for sure. To do this, you need to take advantage of the bonuses that the state makes available. Today we will introduce you to two, the fixtures bonus and the painting bonus.
Double Bonus to renovate your home and save 50%
Let’s start with the fixtures bonus, a measure that provides the tax deduction of 50% on the expense incurred to replace the old fixtures with new, more energy efficient products. This discount is part of the 50% Home Bonus. It means that it can be requested by carrying out a series of building renovation interventions. Alternatively, the Bonus can be requested without restructuring provided that metal, wood or PVC fixtures are purchased.
Citizens who own a home or are renters can apply for it. Windows, doors, awnings if facing north, shutters can be replaced. The maximum spending limit is 60,000 euros per property unit. The taxpayer must submit the prior communication to ENEA to request the Bonus and keep invoices and payment transfers. If possible, instead of deducting the discount on the invoice, you can take advantage of it.
The second Bonus allows you to deduct 50% of the expenses incurred for the painting of the walls of the house, internal and external. The measure is part of the Restructuring Bonus and, therefore, requires ordinary or extraordinary maintenance work on the property. If you demolish a wall, install solar panels, redo the stairs then you will be entitled to the painting bonus. The maximum spending limit is 96,000 euros.
The money is recovered with the tax return. The assignment of credits is not permitted.
