A woman named Suzanne was planning to marry her longtime boyfriend, but was forced to cancel the wedding at the last minute due to lack of funds. The bride-to-be had envisioned a lavish wedding, but it all fell through because she didn’t receive enough monetary gifts from friends and family.
She started a Facebook post, which was later shared by Mumsnet, explaining that she was sorry for canceling the wedding.
“How did it all fall apart? Well, I invite all of you on Facebook – passers-by and nearby people in my life – to sit up and listen,” she writes.
