Semi-annual profits of the Chinese automaker, Geely, rose by 1% to exceed $215 million, better than analysts’ expectations.
The company stated that the decline in lithium carbonate prices globally contributed to the decline in the prices of batteries, which contributed to reducing the costs of manufacturing electric cars.
The company confirmed that it still expects to meet the number of cars sold by the end of this year at 1.65 million cars, despite delivering less than 700,000 cars in the first half of 2023.
