Dominic Thiem Withdraws from Winston-Salem ATP Tournament Due to Gastrointestinal Disease

Winston-Salem (North Carolina)/New York – Kitzbühel finalist Dominic Thiem has withdrawn his wildcard participation in the current ATP tennis tournament in Winston Salem due to a gastrointestinal disease. The 29-year-old should have played against Arthur Rinderknech in the first round of this US event on Tuesday night (CEST). He had defeated the French in the Kitzbühel quarter-finals at the beginning of the month. Sebastian Ofner enters round two in Winston-Salem after a bye.
