Rubu’ Qarn Camp for Theater and Performance Arts: Imagination and Creativity in Sharjah

In a summer full of inspiring experiences in the world of theater, a group of promising employees of “Rubu’ Qarn” institutions excelled in presenting 10 creative performances in various forms of theater and performance arts, during their participation in Rubu’ Qarn camp for theater and performance arts “Imagination and Creativity”, organized by Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, over a period of 5 weeks from July 13 to August 17, 2023.
The “Imagination and Creativity” camp was held at the Rubu’ Qarn Theater and Performing Arts headquarters, in the bright “City Center” in Sharjah, under the slogan “Imagine and Create a Theater for the Future”, targeting 100 participants from the Rubu’ Qarn institutions represented by “Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Sharjah and Sharjah Girls for Capacity Development”, in the age groups from 6 to 31 years, with the aim of highlighting the pioneering role of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation in raising conscious and influential generations, as well as developing the skills of associates in the field of theater and show arts, enhancing their creative abilities and developing their sensory, cognitive, physical and leadership personality. It enables them to present artistic presentations in a universal visual language.

Expressive tools and skills
The camp contributed to enabling the participants to possess expressive tools and skills, which helped them express themselves and raise the level of their effective communication with the world around them, through two main phases. balanced and adopt positive behavior in a creative way that reflects positively on their society and their country.
Where the associates received creative knowledge at the hands of a group of experts in theater and performing arts in the Arab world, who provided the participants with a summary of their experiences through interactive sessions and training workshops presented by the trainers Alaa Hammad, Salma bin Al-Agha and Louay Shana in theatrical arts and creativity, in addition to the expert Al-Asaad Al-Mahwashi and the expert Hanada Al-Sabbagh in the field of puppet and fantasy arts, along with the assistant creative team and the component, under the supervision of Dr. Adnan Salloum, the performing arts expert at Rubu’ Qarn Foundation.

The camp closed the curtain on a group of innovative performances that helped the participants leave a creative imprint on the audience, and invest their passion in the theatrical field in an enjoyable journey of self-discovery, through which they expressed their stories and stories. In the second and final phase of puppet and fantasy arts, Sharjah children presented a show entitled ” The Bird of Tales”, while Sajaya Girls of Sharjah presented a show entitled “Al-Hoss”, and the Sharjah youth participated in the “Faces” show, and Sharjah for developing abilities with the “Macbeth” show, in addition to the first stage performances of theatrical arts and creativity, in which Sharjah children participated in the “Key” show. And Sharjah youth with the shows “Treasure” and “We Act”, and the characteristics of the Sharjah girls with the shows “Color Screen” and “Moqood”, and the Sharjah Foundation for Capacity Development with the show “Job Interview”.

It is noteworthy that the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, which was launched in September 2016 under the generous directives of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, is the first Emirati, Arab and regional institution that aims to build An Emirati generation capable of leading and influencing the future, committed to its national identity; Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sharjah Girls’ Characters, and Sharjah Capacity Development “Tatweer” are included under it.
