Cyclist Lukas Pöstlberger broke his right collarbone in a fall in the one-day Cyclassics race in Hamburg on Sunday.
According to his team Jayco, the 31-year-old from Upper Austria has to undergo an operation and will be out for at least several weeks.
The Dane Mads Pedersen secured victory in the classification over 205.4 kilometers. As the best Austrian, Michael Gogl finished in 41st place.
