Do you know the story of a woman from Gdańsk who paid almost PLN 9 for four slices of sausage in Auchan? The woman clutched her head, because a kilo of beef ham from behind the counter cost PLN 83 without a penny. At first, she wanted to give the bundle to the clerk. – I felt stupid in front of people from the queue and I took them anyway – she revealed to “Fact”. A pensioner who recently did some shopping in a local butcher shop wanted to react similarly. “I left with the net and this bill,” he showed us in surprise. It’s not just the prices…
On Mr. Zdzisław’s receipt, there are, among others… bones of the spine. “The bill was so high for my pensioner’s pocket that I put it in my wallet and looked it over carefully at home,” says the reader. “I saw those spine bones and it took me a while to realize that it was a piece of smoked pork fat. I bought it with scrambled eggs in mind,” he adds.
Ribs were hidden under the receipt bacon. — I don’t know where this nonsense on the bill comes from says the retiree.
Meat and sausage prices
The reader of “Fact” returned home with a net for which he had to spend PLN 81.66. “It means a lot to me,” he says. What and how much did he buy?
In the meat shop near Mr. Zdzisław’s block, a boneless pork chop costs almost PLN 30. For the same price, pork neck. Ribs are even more expensive, PLN 31.20 each. A man paid PLN 2.37 for a few slices of ham (PLN 26.90 per kilogram). Country ham was PLN 43.50. – Expensive! I gave almost PLN 11 for 250 grams of sausage – confirms the customer.
