JAKARTA – United States scientists develop a deadly secret weapon from outer space similar Thor’s weapon .
The Cold War that took place in the period 1947-1991 was marked by an arms race between the United States and the Soviet Union. The US represents the Western Bloc with a liberal-capitalist ideology, while the Soviet Union represents the Eastern Bloc with a socialist-communist ideology.
During this period, American scientists worked hard to find a weapon with a space concept nicknamed Rods From God aka God’s Stick. This project is called the Thor project.

Its speed is many times that of sound, the kinetic energy released by such a weapon would be enormous. More than enough to destroy various types of ground targets. The idea of a kinetic weapon is not new. For centuries, humans have studied and practiced it in a simple way by dropping weapons on the opponent’s position.
History records, in the Vietnam War, the US Air Force dropped a bomb nicknamed Lazy Dog from an airplane on the target. This bomb is a type of small kinetic projectile.
It is about 1.75 inches (44 mm) long, 0.5 inches (13 mm) in diameter and weighs about 0.7 ounces (20 g). Lazy Dog contains no explosives but when dropped develops significant kinetic energy, making it a lethal weapon.
