“How I went from rags to riches.”
Every weekend there is a party in “La Viva” on an area of 1800 square meters. Up to 2000 guests in the evening, 30 percent of them from the surrounding area. And Werder players and other celebrities like to pop their corks here – for 20 years.
work break. In 2002, Ersöz bought the former UFA cinema at the train station: “We renovated everything ourselves”

A masterpiece in the night scene
Owner Murat Ersöz (54): “In 2003 there were still 48 clubs and discotheques in Bremen. Today only the modern is left with us”. And Ersöz is proud of that.

He was born in Turkey as the seventh child of nine siblings. “We were poor and my father went to Mannheim as a guest worker. I followed him when I was 17 and went to Bremen with only one bag.”
He worked as a dishwasher and kitchen hand at the Taverna restaurant. “I slept with friends on five chairs that I put together. There was no bed for me.”
Of course, our popular Werder center forward Ailton was also regularly on the guest list

“I had a vision and put everything on one card”
Murat Ersöz continued to work in the catering and brewing industry. “In 1998 I opened the Seven Seas cocktail bar, today’s Beluga in the courtyards. The store was great. But I had a vision. Bremen didn’t have a large disco in the city center and party fans always had to travel far to celebrate. I wanted to change that.”
Former Werder player Mesut Özil also visited La Viva at the time

In 2002 he bought the former UFA cinema at the train station with all his savings. “I put everything on one card. Failure was not an option.”

With discipline, diligence and courage to succeed
“La Viva” was opened in 2003 and is still Bremen’s most successful club. His secret? “It was a very tough road. I wouldn’t have made it without my team, family, friends and great guests. With a lot of discipline, diligence and courage.”
And what does a millionaire want? “Health. Because without her I have nothing.”
Every weekend the club dances all night long

And the anniversary weekend is impressive. Also present as a guest DJ: Bremen self-made billionaire Saygin Yalçin (39), who now lives in Dubai. Ersöz: “What many don’t know, in 2003 he the live and it will be on Saturday as well.”
Congratulations! Go crazy.
