Toulouse vs PSG: 1-1 Draw in Ligue 1 2023/2024

Toulouse

Paris Saint Germain still haven’t won in Ligue 1 2023/2024. PSG host Toulouse offset with a final score of 1-1.

The Toulouse vs PSG match was held at the Stadio de Toulouse on Sunday (20/8/2023) in the morning WIB. Kylian Mbappe returned to the Les Parisiens line-up after being dropped in the first match.

After coming on as a substitute, Mbappe scored from the penalty spot to break the deadlock. Toulouse just scored a goal back in the final minutes of the game. It was Zakaria Aboukhlal who also balanced the game through a penalty.

PSG controlled the game but struggled to create clear chances. Only in the 38th minute did PSG pose a significant threat to Toulouse after Goncalo Ramos’ shot from the middle of the penalty box went off the mark at the far post.

Toulouse responded with no less dangerous opportunities. Mikkel Desler’s kick was pushed over by Gianluigi Donnarumma, the ball was rebounded by Desler again to be continued with a curved shot. The ball bounces slightly.

Restes again ward off Goncalo Ramos’ shot from close range before the end of the first half. As a result, the score 0-0 marked halftime.

Kylian Mbappe finally started after replacing Lee Kang-in in the 51st minute. Mbappe’s entry revived PSG’s attack line.

Mbappe’s action forced Rasmus Nicolaisen to commit a foul in the Toulouse penalty box. The referee awarded PSG a penalty which Mbappe himself executed well to make it 1-0 in the 62nd minute.

After winning, PSG locked Toulouse in search of additional goals. However, Toulouse were awarded a penalty in the final seven minutes after Achraf Hakimi deliberately brought down Zakaria Aboukhlal.

Abouklhal became the executor then sent Donnarumma tumbling in the wrong direction. Toulouse 1-1 PSG ends until the game is over.
