The 38-year-old, who is said to have stabbed a 41-year-old in an apartment building in Kempen-Tönisberg on August 17 at around 11:30 p.m., is in custody.
According to the doctors treating him, the stab wounds were not life-threatening, as initially assumed.
The competent public prosecutor’s office in Krefeld assessed the crime as dangerous bodily harm.
Investigators brought the 38-year-old before the magistrate on Saturday, August 19, at the request of the Krefeld public prosecutor. He ordered pre-trial detention.
According to the current status of the investigation, the background to the crime may have been private disputes.
