Sexually Transmitted Diseases or sexually transmitted infections are infections that are transmitted through sexual contact or intimate relationships. Transmission can be through blood, sperm, or other body fluids. This disease is usually marked by a rash or blisters, vaginal discharge, and pain in the genital area.
It can be caused by 3 types:
Types of sexually transmitted diseases caused by bacteria
1. Syphilis
Syphilis is caused by the bacteria Treponema pallidum. A disease that is also known as the “lion king”.
2. Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea, also known as gonorrhea, is caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
3. Chlamydia
This disease is caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. In women, chlamydia attacks the cervix. Whereas in men, this infection attacks the urinary tract in the penis.
4. Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV)
LGV is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. Although caused by the same bacteria as the bacteria that cause chlamydia, the two have different types
