CISP cameras in Lubango facilitate the location and seizure of a stolen car in Luanda – Jornal OPaís

Surveillance cameras spread throughout the city of Lubango, capital of Huíla province, by the Integrated Public Security Center (CISP), facilitated the location and apprehension of a vehicle stolen in Luanda last month.

The location was possible thanks to the intervention of the Criminal Illicit Investigation Department (DIP) of the Provincial Police Command in Huíla, triggered by the CISP.

Spokesperson for the Provincial Command of the National Police, Inspector Benedito Walter, who provided the information, said that the white Ford branded vehicle had been stolen in the country’s capital, Luanda, in the Maculusso neighbourhood.

The act of seizure, according to the Spokesperson for the Provincial Command of the National Police, took place last Wednesday, when the citizen sought by the Police was traveling on the Cunene Lubango section.

“The Provincial Command of the National Police in Huíla, through its Department of Criminal Illicit, proceeded to arrest a 35-year-old citizen in possession of a Ford brand car, this on Wednesday (16). The arrest was made through the surveillance cameras of the Integrated Center for Public Security,” he said.

According to the Spokesperson for the National Police in Huila, the citizen in question was already being monitored by the police authorities, due to the theft of the same vehicle.
