The Egyptian club, Zamalek, rejected the first offer submitted by the Saudi youth, to obtain the services of its first star, Ahmed Sayed (Zizou), during the current summer, but reports confirm that there are other offers on the way to the white administration.
Zizou welcomes his departure to the Saudi League, in light of the financial crisis in his current club that prevented him from obtaining his dues during the last period, and the inability of Zamalek to conclude deals and enter the next season in the best way.
Tough choice
Former Zamalek star Mahmoud Abu Rujaila told Sky News Arabia that the Zamalek administration can study the matter well in all aspects before responding to the offers submitted to Zizou.
He added, “We find major European clubs allowing their stars to move to the Saudi League simply, as France’s Paris Saint-Germain did with Neymar, who moved to Al-Hilal, and Zamalek may allow Zizou to leave if the financial offer is appropriate, especially since the player is the one who wants to leave.”
And he continued: “Certainly, Zizou’s departure will represent a technical loss due to his playing in all attacking positions, but was he when Zamalek signed him at the same level? Absolutely not. He was a promising player and not a star as he is now, and Zamalek can repeat the same thing with other players.”
Abu Rujaila ended his speech by saying: “The Zamalek administration will determine, by studying the team’s list and its financial needs, is it better to obtain money to solve financial crises and support new deals, or will Zizou’s continuation be better for the team?”
