On Thursday around 8 p.m., a search operation took place in Graz, more precisely in the Lend district above the Volksgarten. At the request of the Kleine Zeitung, the Graz police were looking for a person who had been reported as missing and at risk of suicide. The Styrian police also confirmed this on Twitter.
The person they were looking for was finally found – a risk of suicide could be ruled out. The helicopter mission was over at around 8:45 p.m., says Victoria Gimpel from the Styrian State Police Headquarters.
At around 6 a.m. on Friday, helicopters flew over Graz again. According to the state control center, there was no helicopter operation over Graz on Friday morning. However, one possibility is that the police helicopter was spotted en route to Spielberg for the MotoGP event.
