De Lijn is further phasing out services in Limburg. Bus stops have already been abolished since July 1 and it will get even worse from January. In Hasselt, 6 of the 12 city lines will disappear. That’s a halving. The unrest and dissatisfaction among De Lijn staff is growing. There are calls for hard actions from September onwards. “Actually, De Lijn is a company in difficulties due to the many cutbacks and especially Limburg with its rural character is the victim of this,” says the socialist union at De Lijn.
