Like many young people of their time, Hélène and Bernard Weber attended popular balls in the region. It was in Basse-Ham that they met for the first time. After several months of dating, Bernard Weber, born in Thionville on August 9, 1952, took as his wife, on August 3, 1973, in the town hall of Thionville, Hélène Maiques, born on July 4, 1952 in Algiers.
From their union were born two daughters, Christelle and Carole. Seven grandchildren and a great-grandson have expanded the family circle.
After a few months spent in Yutz, they wanted to return to their childhood home, Terville. After several accommodations, they definitely put down their luggage at Impasse Ferry, where they have lived for twenty-three years.
After an apprenticeship as a fitter at the Usinor training center, Bernard began his professional career in this steelworks. When it closed, it turned to the interim. An option that suited him perfectly, which allowed him to appreciate a form of freedom, flexibility and variety. As for Hélène, it was at the Bel-Air hospital that she worked as a nursing assistant until her retirement.
Today, after fifty years of union, they have chosen to celebrate this anniversary surrounded by their family. Danièle Nalepa, deputy mayor, and Béatrice Huot, municipal councillor, did not fail to come and congratulate them on behalf of the municipality.
