Defenseman Mislav Rosandič Signs with Lada Togliatti in the KHL: Slovak Bronze Medalist Joins Russian Club

Defenseman Mislav Rosandič will play in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in the upcoming season. The Slovak representative and bronze medalist from Beijing 2022 signed a contract for one season with the club Lada Togliatti, the team’s official website reported.

Last year, Mislav Rosandič worked in the Czech top flight in the teams Bílí Tygři Liberec and Mountfield HK. In the regular season and playoffs, he played a total of 65 games, in which he scored 11 points. In the past, he also played in Slovakia or in the KHL, when he wore the jersey of HC Slovan Bratislava.

Among his greatest achievements are the extra-league title, bronze from the under-20 World Cup and the first ever medal for Slovakia from the 2022 Olympics. At the same time, he participated in three senior World Cups.

The list of Slovaks in the KHL has thus been expanded by another name. Defender Martin Gernát and former assistant coach of the national team Andrej Podkonický also left for Russia, which invaded Ukraine and is continuing the war. Forwards Adam Liška and Michal Krištof, defender Michal Čajkovský and goalkeeper Patrik Rybár will continue their careers there.
