In Belarus, as of 17.20 on August 18, restrictions on visiting forests are in effect in all regions of the country without exception. At the same time, bans have been set in five districts – Kalinkovichi, Brest, Zhabinka, Kobrin and Malorita. Due to hot and dry weather, bans may be in place in other areas soon.
The website of the Ministry of Forestry contains an interactive card prohibitions and restrictions on visiting forests. With its help, you can quickly track in which regions the visit to the forest is temporarily prohibited or restricted. You can also get information by calling local authorities.
Recall that decisions on the introduction and lifting of a ban and restrictions on visiting forests are made by local authorities at the request of forestry institutions or regional emergency departments. Usually they are introduced in case of a high class of fire danger and removed when the situation stabilizes. The main purpose of prohibitions and restrictions is to ensure the safety of citizens, the safety of their property, as well as the forest fund.
