Slovak elite rider Dominika Malíková Kleinová from the Shereen Endurance Club in Vysoká na Morava on Sunday at the 2023 World Championship in Endurance Riding for Young Horses in Estonia clearly defeated the competition’s biggest favorites and became the new world champion with the horse MOLTA.

Yesterday evening, the Slovak team returned from the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Horses 2023, which was held at the Padise Endurance Center in Estonia. The race itself took place on Sunday, August 13. from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Padise campus.

The World Championship was attended by 42 competitors from 15 countries, including Norway, Spain, France, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Argentina, Kuwait, Lithuania and Ukraine.

Slovakian rider Dominika Malíková Kleinová won with the horse Molta in a time of 05:39:36, with an average speed of 21.2 km/h. The natural and technical course of the championship, with a total length of 120 km in 4 circuits, led through the forest landscape and created challenging conditions that emphasized the riding skills and endurance of the competing 8-year-old horses.

“It’s impossible to describe how happy I am, it’s a dream come true for me. The track suited us very well, it was very demanding and technical, excellently designed to alternate speeds and at the same time test the qualities of riders and horses. From the start of the race, we were leading, and we managed to keep the lead until the end.

Thanks to my team, which helped me throughout the race, I felt very confident and at ease. The overall support of all the European teams around us was huge and gave us even more strength to fight. It’s my best result in my career so far.” said our Slovak representative Dominika Malíková Kleinová after the race.

“For the equestrian public as well as for the Slovak Equestrian Federation, winning the gold medal is a great event. We are extremely happy and proud of Dominika and her won gold medal from this world championship, because thanks to her and her great performance on the Molta horse, we know this beautiful equestrian sport make it visible and bring it closer to people,” added Vladimír Chovan, president of the Slovak Equestrian Federation.
