Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr, a consultant and professor of cardiology and arterial catheterization, revealed a surprising paradox for smokers.
Al-Nimr said on his Twitter account: “It is surprising that the same factor that causes arterial diseases (for example, smoking) affects a person and causes him to have a stroke, and the other does not affect him at all.”
And he added: “Rather, what is even more amazing is that in the same person, it affects an artery and does not affect another artery that is less than one centimeter away from it!! And at this point specifically, science stands at a loss until now.”
It is surprising that the same factor that causes arterial disease (for example, smoking) affects one person and causes him to have a stroke, while the other does not affect him at all.
What is even more amazing is that in the same person it affects an artery and does not affect another artery that is less than one centimeter away from it!!
On this point, science is still baffled.
