A plane crashed on a highway near Shah Alam in the state of Selangor, Malaysia on Thursday (17/8).

Meanwhile, Malaysia’s Transport Minister, Anthony Loke, revealed that the police were investigating the cause of this private jet crash, including searching for the plane’s black box.

In the interim report, the minister said that the private jet departed from Langkawi International Airport at 2:08 p.m. bound for Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS) in Subang.

Initially, the private jet made contact with the Subang Air Traffic Control Tower at 2:47 p.m. for permission to land.

The Oversight Tower gave permission to land at 14.48. However, three minutes after being allowed to land at 2:51 p.m., the private jet suddenly lost contact.

The Supervisory Tower then saw smoke coming from the accident site on the main road near Alam Syah Bana, Selangor.
