At the end of the summer, the singer released a new single and a music video Darta Stepanova. The new song “Give yourself away” was created in cooperation with the band “Other Boys” saxophonist Dagni Roziņu. The song was created in the playful style of pop music of the 1980s, but it tells about the seriousness of relationships between people and the sometimes harsh reality.
“The most important thing in human relationships is to learn to be together as equals and, without losing yourself, to invest everything in them,” says Darta. “With this song, we invite the listeners to understand how much each of us can give of ourselves and how much of it all comes back to us. The music author of the song is Walter Puce, with which Darta has established a successful cooperation. Walter’s work in pop music is increasingly reflected in Darta’s music pieces.

Dārta admits that Dagnis Roziņš was a great support in the process of creating the song, whose saxophone playing brightens the song’s gorgeous style, giving it power.
Filming of the video version of the new single was entrusted to director Arvi Belov. This clip is special in that it is a one-shot video, filmed non-stop from the beginning of the song to the end. As the director Arvis Belov says, “this kind of filming requires a very thoughtful and nuanced preparation down to the smallest detail, because if something goes wrong while filming, everything has to be started from the beginning”.
Cooperation with groups “DAGAMBA” singer Darta Stepanova started host Valteru Pūci two years ago, when the singles “Tālāke jāet” and “Brīnumzeme” were released, but last year the song “Zelta važas” also reached listeners.
The new single “Sevi projām dot” was created in the studio “AMFO” and was produced by Valters Pūce together with the drummer of the group “DAGAMBA” Artūras Jermaks and the bassist of the group “Citi zēni” Roberts Memmēnas.
