FINAL LINE OF THE AMOS WOMEN’S FRENCH CUP 2023: THE BEST OF EUROPEAN FOOTBALL RETURNS TO COLOMIERS
Atlético de Madrid, AC Milan, Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain are the 4 prestigious teams that will form the set for the new edition of the AMOS Women’s French Cup on August 28 & 31 at the Stade Michel Bendichou in Colomiers. This year again, the event will see four of the best European women’s football teams compete against each other. Reigning winners of the Copa de la Reina, the Colchoneros will travel with ambition and a lot of quality for this team which sent 6 of these players to compete in the World Cup.
Second team of the tournament and first edition for the Milanese, third in the Italian championship this season. After the fine performance of AS Roma in 2021 (finalist), the Rossoneri will also come to demonstrate the fine qualities of Serie A.
After a stint during the 2017 edition, Liverpool once again returns to Toulouse soil. After great performances this season against Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea, the Reds will prove to be a formidable opponent in this 5th edition. Present on the last 4 editions of the plateau, the Parisiennes, usual of the tournament, will complete this promising edition. The red and blue of Gérard Prêcheur will try to take advantage of their experience to win this 6th edition of the AMOS WFC. The four clubs represented this year sent no less than 28 players to the lawns of the World Cup to defend the colors of their national teams.
10 days after the World Cup final, no fewer than 8,000 people are expected to follow one of the toughest pre-season tournaments in the world. In France, female footballers are taking their place in the sports news and continuing their ascent with more than 220,000 members of the FFF today and more than 50,000 more practitioners since the first edition of the AMOS WFC in 2017. Spectator, but above all an actor of this change, the AMOS WFC will strive to continue its commitment to equality between women and men and to diversity.
Through its Sport Incub association and its socio-educational action program, the AMOS WFC sets up actions, throughout the year, for young people from the City’s Priority Neighborhoods. This takes the form of awareness-raising workshops or educational outings.
