The reconstruction of the Carnikava stadium is gradually coming to an end, and the residents of Ādažu region will soon be able to train in a high-quality stadium, informs the municipality of Ādažu region. The commissioning of the stadium is scheduled for mid-October.
In July, the laying of asphalt in the stadium, including the hockey field, was completed, as well as an exercise field was installed, the creation of athletics sectors was also completed and an automatic watering system was installed for the football field. The expanded football field meets all international standards.
This week, in the second half of the week, the laying of the stadium runway will begin. According to the project, six treadmills with a synthetic surface will be laid, providing high-quality training opportunities not only for track and field athletes, but also for representatives of other sports, according to the municipality.
The basketball court will also be covered with rubber. Improvement and paving work continues. Modular changing rooms and storage will be installed in the paved area.
