“Then life was over for our beloved father and grandfather, and it is so incredibly sad,” she wrote at the beginning of the post.
To Se og Hør, she wrote the following in a text message on the same day that she published the post:
“Our father was the nicest person we know. He was so positive in everything he was involved in. The family is together now, and I will miss him for a long time to come. Unbelievable for us that our fine father is on the other side now”.

During the launch of “Stjernekamp”, Gundersen told “Good evening Norway» that it is all sad:
– There are sad days, of course, but I manage to keep it at bay.

The 61-year-old also explained that she has thought about a tribute to him during the song competition.
– I’ve thought about it. My father has followed my career all the way. He is also the one from whom I inherited my musical skills, he played the accordion, guitar, piano and bass as well. Actually, I think that he will be a strong driving force for me, in the wake of him not being here anymore.
Gundersen admits to Se og Hør that there are difficult days at the moment.
“It is a great loss that my father has passed away, he always cheered from the sidelines and it felt like he was eternally alive, so these are hard days now,” writes the artist in a text message.
