A few days ago, Thailand’s high-profile movie “Speed and Love” officially announced that it will be released in China on September 15. The film not only has funny and healing Thai love elements, but also parodies and pays tribute to the classic plots of many movies, presenting a unique comedy effect full of wit and surprise.

“Speed and Love” was written and directed by Thai director Navapon Tanrong Guatanari, starring Nat Chichari and Urasaya Spabond. The film tells the story of the “giant baby” cup stacking champion A Gao who relearns basic life skills to support himself after being dumped by his girlfriend Xiaojie who has been with him for many years. After losing his girlfriend, A Gao seriously lacks the ability to take care of himself in real life. Not only does he have to contend with up-and-comers in competitive cup stacking, but as a highly anticipated world champion, he also needs to learn basic life skills, including laundry, mopping, ironing, shopping, repairing water pumps, and other trivial daily tasks. These trifles are simple for ordinary people, but for this competitive cup stacking master, it has become a tough battle. However, the biggest challenge he faces is how to win back his girlfriend’s heart.

In the film, Xiaojie silently devoted 10 years to love, just for A Gao to achieve a breakthrough of 0.001 seconds faster in stacking cups. One side is self-sacrificing and accompanying, and the other is chasing dreams desperately. Through this interesting and typical love story, the film explores love contradictions and self-reflection, reminding people that “when you love someone, don’t forget to love yourself first.”
In addition, the film also shows the style of sports inspirational movies, presenting the excitement and passion of the sport of racing and stacking cups. The director also joked about the classic plots of “The Avengers”, “Star Wars”, “Fast and the Furious”, “Parasite” and other films in the film.
Previously, “Fast and Love” was nominated for Best Film at the Tiantan Awards at the 12th Beijing International Film Festival. The film is produced by Thailand’s GDH559 Film Company, imported by China Film Group Corporation, distributed and dubbed by China Film Corporation, and will be released on September 15.
