The Valledupar Public Transportation System, in this 2023 has benefited 300 families in the municipality with the generation of the same number of job opportunities; 276 drivers, 44 people who work between the areas of the Control Center, road safety, yard and dispatcher. Luz Daris Ochoa Mendoza is one of them, an empowered woman, a housewife who needed to generate income for her home to support her family, a brave lady who found a great job opportunity in SIVA. This is how she expressed it with a big smile: “I am a traffic assistant. Sometimes I don’t believe I’m working here. A job that has benefited me a lot because I have, thank God, enough to provide for my children every day”.
She, like the construction assistant Rony Samuel Miranda Mercado, recognize and value what the entity offers so that many people in commune three, where the work is being built, can access this large project with unskilled labor. Social impact. “Being part of this great construction has been a great experience for me, I have learned a lot. I am happy to be part of the SIVA family”, mentioned Rony.
These figures, which are only part of the execution of the SETP, are added to all the social impact that this entity has generated throughout its existence through which it has marked the city’s footprints, always taking into account the local workforce.
