Peaking at 161 metersthe Mount Valerian is located between Suresnes, Nanterre, and Rueil-Malmaison, in the Hauts-de-Seine. High memorial site of the Second World War – we will note the presence of a huge American cemetery as well as a memorial of fighting France and its eternal flame -, we also climb it for its huge terrace you know amazing views on the capital. In the foreground a green expanse (the Bois de Boulogne), then the colors beige Parisian buildings. Straight ahead, the tour Eiffel. A little to the right, the tour Montparnasse. And on our left, the towers of La Defense district. A perfect view for the fireworks on July 14 or January 1, a stone’s throw from Paris.

Edith Piaf would envy your detour via one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Paris! Follow in the footsteps of La Môme in her hometown which will take you to the top of Belleville Parkabove which you will find a belvedere covered. You will then be able to observe a large part of Paris, from East to West, from tour Eiffel at theArab World Institute. If the bravest among you can decide to climb the park, the more rational will save themselves an ascent worthy of that of the Pyrenees by taking line 11 and leaving by the station of the same name or at Belleville, or by taking line 2 and exiting at Couronnes station.

If you are sure to find, after a little ascent, the Clos des Chaufourniers vineyardit is especially its impregnable view on the Sacred Heart that will convince the most romantic among you to set foot on its hills. A true viticultural parenthesis, the unique atmosphere of Buttes Bergeyre will transport you, in the heart of Paris, to landscapes reminiscent of those of the Alsatian or Bordeaux vineyards. Little sister of Buttes Chaumontthe Butte Bergeyre is today a veritable Safe Havenfar from the time when it housed the famous Folles Buttes amusement park at the beginning of the 20th century…

4. The National Estate of Saint-Cloud

Former place of residence of Monsieur the brother of King Louix XIVof Marie Antoinette, but also of the French imperial families, this immense park is visited especially for its French garden but also for its incredible fountains: real works of art where water flows. There Grande Cascade in stone, for example, is a real feat of ancient hydraulic techniques. But at the end of one of its terraces is revealed a phenomenal view of the capital. Beyond the Seine appears every 15th district and its residential towers, and right next to the tour Eiffel proudly enthroned. We even discern the sacred heart on the clearest days.

5. The Butte des Châtaigniers

From the top of his 126 metersthe Butte des Chestnuts straddling between Argenteuil et Sannois in the Val-d’Oise is quite recent. Former quarries of gypsum then transformed into an open dump, it was not until the early 2010s that major works changed the place for the well-being of all. A huge layout and some 40,000 trees planted later, it is a real belvedere which sits at the top of a giant staircase with more than… 360 marches ! But believe us, it’s worth the effort: the height gives you a amazing panoramic view on the capital from the North-East, with especially the roofs of Paris which stand out the most. In smaller size, you will still see the sacred heartand the tour Eiffel a little further.
