Foreign Ministers of Korea, US, and Japan Discuss Trilateral Cooperation Ahead of Camp David Summit

The foreign ministers of Korea, the United States and Japan held a video conference ahead of the Korea-US-Japan summit to be held on the 18th local time at Camp David, USA.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Foreign Minister Jin Park, US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln, and Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa discussed major issues, including the Korea-US-Japan trilateral summit, through a video conference on the evening of the 15th.

They shared the view that the Korea-US-Japan summit to be held at Camp David would be an important milestone in trilateral cooperation, and agreed to continue close cooperation to ensure a successful meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

In addition, regarding the North Korean nuclear and North Korean issues, we agreed to reaffirm the tight cooperation between the ROK, the U.S. and Japan, and strengthen security cooperation to respond to North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats and provocations.
