Libreville, Tuesday August 15, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – Recognized as an impregnable citadel for the Gabonese Democratic Party, Franceville, the capital of the province of Haut-Ogooué, falls under the charms of the Social Pact, the program offered to them by candidate Ali Bongo Ondimba.
After the stages of Tchibanga, Mouila, Lambaréné, Port-Gentil, Oyem and Makokou, it’s Franceville’s turn to welcome Ali Bongo Ondimba, the champion of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG) in the presidential election on August 26th.
As was to be expected, the place of celebrations of Franceville, place of the meeting, of the candidate was stormed from the first hours this Tuesday, August 15 by the militants and other compatriots from all the departments of the province of Haut-Ogooué.
Opening the ball of messages of support, it was the local party officials who set the tone. Gathered around comrade Léon Mvouba Okori, national secretary 2, the 23 candidates for deputies as well as the heads of the local lists and their running mate, promised a cash and flawless victory to their champion.
Speaking in turn, the presidential candidate Ali Bongo Ondimba called on his G2 brothers and sisters to make cohesion their main asset and to remain united around his candidacy in order to vote useful on D-Day.
“It is in cohesion that we will achieve our common goal of victory on August 26,” he said. Not without attracting the attention of activists to avoid messages of hatred from the birds of bad omen who lack a realistic program.
“Mobilize to vote in favor of the continuity and development of Gabon backed by the best program of the Social Pact”, hammered the candidate. Arrived at 11:50 a.m. at the Place des Fêtes de Franceville, it was at 12:10 p.m. that the candidate Ali Bongo Ondimba finished his message addressed to the Altogovéens before heading to the sister province of Ogooué-Lolo.
Note that as a prelude to the meeting on Tuesday, comrade Paul Mvouba Okori had gathered on Saturday August 12 all the provincial hierarchs of the PDG at the town hall of Franceville. Main message addressed to them: the proximity strategy chosen to carry out the campaign across the whole province. Selected excerpts: “Each voter must be identified, polling station by polling station. We must have a report on each voter; there is no need to disperse yourselves because the work must be scientific”.
In order to avoid the inconveniences observed in 2016, the campaign for the presidential election of 2023 will be mainly carried by the Gabonese Democratic Party. Hence the appeal made to those responsible for the deliberative bodies of the party, which are the federations, sections and committees, to mobilize behind the officially invested candidates to defend the colors of their political formation.
