New York, bottom line in the AL East, has lost three straight.

The Yankees (60-59), who have not been absent from the postseason since 2016, entered the day five games behind in the AL wild-card race.

López has eight hits combined in his last two starting games. He drove in two runs with a single in the second off Clarke Schmidt (8-7) before driving in one more hit in the Braves’ four-run third inning.

Rosario went 3-for-5, including a double and a home run, staying a triple away from the cycle. He scored three runs and drove in four, including Atlanta’s last two in the eighth with his 17th home run of the season, to lift the Braves 11-2.

For the Yankees, Venezuelans Gleyber Torres 4-0, Oswaldo Cabrera 3-2 with a run scored.
