Jakarta, CNNIndonesia —
Vice Chairman of Binpres PBVSI Loudry Maspaitella gave a response regarding the news that Wilda Siti Nurfadhilah was leaving Indonesian Women’s Volleyball Team after the SEA V League 2023 the second series in Thailand.
The Indonesian Women’s Volleyball National Team finished third in the SEA V League 2023 in the second series in Thailand which ended on Sunday (13/8).
After the match, Wilda through her personal Instagram Story immediately said goodbye from the Indonesian Women’s Volleyball Team.
“Aaaaa, thank you. Say goodbye. My youth was with Merah Putih. If you insult it, it’s okay, but one thing, I’m proud to be me,” said Wilda as quoted from her Instagram Story, Sunday (13/8).
PBVSI Binpres Deputy Chairperson Loudry Maspaitella gave a response regarding Wilda’s plan to retire from the Indonesian Women’s Volleyball National Team.
According to him, losing Wilda would make it difficult for the Indonesian Women’s Volleyball Team to find a replacement.
“Not only Wilda, including Wulan [Agustin Wulandhari], even though those two people are our middle blockers, which we don’t currently have coatings for. On the tosser side we have [pelapisnya], in open spike we have. In the open spike where Mega is [Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi] there is, although the quality is not as good as Mega,” said Loudry at the Tribrata Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (15/8).
“Now the most troublesome thing is being in the middle blocker position, with Wilda’s departure, official or unofficial but with Wulan’s departure it will certainly make it difficult for us to find a bride. There are plenty of brides in stock, but quality issues, flying hours issues, experience that is not equal with the two of them,” said Loudry.
Therefore, according to Loudry, PBVSI must now move quickly to prepare replacements for the two senior players in the Indonesian Women’s Volleyball National Team.
“When it comes to candidates then in Wilda and Wulan, do you think there is potential to be able to go there or not. If you mention a lot of names. But that was earlier, with the same quality as him, you need technique. First, there is no equivalent to that. have been fulfilled, flying hours. So indeed we are for the middle blocker position, we will definitely be left behind,” said Loudry.
“Because the two of you, Wilda and Wulan. Yes, we shouldn’t expect the two of them either. With them gone, like it or not, we have to speed up how middle blockers are. Because there are no middle blockers as high as them. That’s what has been obstacles. So we are looking for, if there are any, it will take more time,” Loudry added.
Wilda and Wulan are currently listed as the two most senior players in the Indonesian Women’s Volleyball National Team. Wilda, who is the captain of the Indonesian Women’s Volleyball National Team, is now 28 years old, while Wulan is 32 years old.
