Riot Games Announces Plans to Enhance Valorant Challengers Leagues Ecosystem

Riot Games has outlined its plans to better support and grow the Valorant Challengers Leagues ecosystem.

asin the blogAs pointed out, we are told that in order to increase viewership and make it more beneficial for organizations to host teams in second tier competitive play, Challengers will now run year-round and will not have a long period between July and December each year offseason.

Again, we can expect fewer broadcasts of Challengers, but a new approach to how Challengers broadcasts around the world.

The Challengers Ascension tournament will also be moved to September, after the main Champions tournament, so that it can better populate the competitive calendar.

There will also now be a loan system between the International Leagues and Challengers Leagues to better give players the opportunity to move between the two.

Finally, there’s the Premier mode, which will serve as a third tier for competitive Valorant and make way for a second tier, so hopefully attracting more players and fans to Challengers Leagues.

Riot has promised to provide specific details on these areas in the coming months.
