Von Saturday 19th to Tuesday 22nd August 2023 finds in Pokémon GO the Toxic Swamp event will take place. In this context, Shiny Algitt will be made available in-game for the first time. In addition, double candies are awarded for catching, Team GO Rocket balloons appear more frequently, and one free Raid Pass can be obtained per day by spinning photo discs.
The following wild Pokémon appear more frequently: Among the wild Pokémon there are above all Poisonous and Dragon-type Pokémon, including Zubat, Bluzuk, Tentacha, Dratini, Gehweiher, Gulpuck, Pionskora, Milza, Algitt, Balgoras and eF-eM. Sleima, Dratini, Knacklion, Algitt, eF-eM, and Garstella can be encountered via Field Research.
Tier 1 Raid Battles will be visited by Sleima, Alolan Sleima, Hisui-Baldorfish, and Hisui-Sniebel, while Tier 3 will see Galarian Wet, Shardrago, and Tortunator.
Crypto Raids will also be active during the event. Zubat, Hunduster and Dusselgurr appear at level 1 and Nidoran female, Onix and Sniebel can be fought at level 3.
Free Timed Research
A Timed Research is available during the event period. This runs until August 22, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. and includes tasks related to raid battles. Encounters with Poison and Dragon Pokémon, including Miniras, beckon as rewards.
