Xinhua News Agency, Kabul, August 14 (Reporter Zou Xuemian and Zhao Jiasong) The Khost provincial government in eastern Afghanistan issued a statement on the 14th saying that an explosion occurred at a hotel in Khost city, the capital of the province, killing 3 people and injuring 7 others.
The statement said that when the explosion occurred, locals from Khost province and refugees returning from Pakistan’s Waziristan region were living in the hotel, and the injured had been sent to the hospital.
So far, no organization or individual has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
Recently, bombing attacks have occurred frequently in various parts of Afghanistan. The extremist group “Islamic State” claimed to have launched several attacks targeting schools, mosques and buses.
