The Popular Party Dominates Berja Elections with Record-Breaking Vote Count

The Popular Party wins again in Berja. José Carlos Lupión manages to add 12 councilors, two more than in the previous elections thanks to the 3,905 votes he received from the people of Virgitans (68.09%).

The PSOE of Isabel Arévalo fails to convince those of Berja, and obtains 1,333 votes (23.4%), which allows it to maintain four councilors while losing three compared to the 2019 elections.

For its part, Vox manages to enter the Berja City Council with a mayor thanks to the 421 votes in its favor (7.34%). The entry of the green formation in the Virgitano consistory supposes the break with the bipartisanship in force until the last elections.

Participation in the Berja municipal elections was 63.37%, much lower than in the 2019 elections when 70.52% of the electoral roll was reached.
