Today, the first anniversary of the “running” coincides with the tenth year of the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative. The China-Europe Railway Express has connected the logistics network between China and more countries along the “Belt and Road”. “Steel camel team” ran out of acceleration and “carrying volume” doubled
In the logistics park of Wuxi West Railway Station, as the last container fell steadily, a China-Europe train version of the “steel camel team” slowly drove out from the station area. There are 18 cars in total for the China-Europe Railway Express departing this time, mainly loaded with polyester chips from Sanfangxiang (Group). Through the form of continuous trains, the goods will arrive in Lianyungang, and then leave the country through the Khorgos Port, and then sent to the five Central Asian countries.
Since the beginning of this year, the “circle of friends” of Wuxi China Railway Express has continued to expand, the international logistics network has become more and more dense, and the volume of freight has continued to rise. From January to June this year, Wuxi West Railway Station Logistics Park opened a total of 26 China-Europe connecting trains, sending 2,154 TEUs of goods with a value of about 460 million yuan. As of July this year, the total cargo volume and value have doubled compared to last year. The “steel camel team” roared back and forth, helping “Made in Wuxi” to “go out”.
According to calculations, taking the Jiangsu China-Europe Railway Express “Wuxi” can not only save 20% of transportation costs, but also increase the timeliness by 30%. Compared with land and sea transportation, it has obvious advantages, which is why “Wuxi” is favored by enterprises.
From January to July this year, Wuxi China Railway Express has operated a total of 30 trains. On the basis of the Moscow and Central Asia routes opened last year, the Poland-Mala International Railway logistics channel has been newly opened, and at the same time, the return trains from Russia and Central Asia to Wuxi have been actively opened. To help “Made in Wuxi” go further, the increasingly mature sea-rail combined transport trains are gradually exerting their strength. In May of this year, Wuxi West Railway Station and the largest container central station in South China——Guangzhou International Port railway train reconnected; on July 22, the first batch of new energy commercial vehicles produced by local car companies “boarded” the sea-rail intermodal transport list the sea.
From January to June this year, Wuxi Railway Express Co., Ltd. operated 22 sea-rail intermodal trains, shipping 1,800 TEUs of goods. On the basis of strong transportation capacity guarantee, the park has continuously enriched transportation varieties and improved service levels. Among them, building a commercial vehicle distribution center in the Yangtze River Delta region is undoubtedly a highlight. At present, the park is preparing for the departure of caged vehicles. “This year, my country’s new energy vehicle exports have increased significantly. We have built an auto parts and vehicle distribution center to serve Wuxi and related enterprises and parks in the surrounding area,” Zhu Ping said.
Currently, the Wuxi International Railway Logistics Center is under construction and is expected to be completed and put into use in the third quarter of this year. After the completion of the project, the overall scale of the railway freight yard will be three times that of the current one, and the center’s customs supervision workplace will also realize the immediate release of goods and “zero waiting” for customs clearance, further smoothing the “big channel” of international logistics and building a strong economic cycle. big hub”.
