The audience sang along to such popular “Minuet” songs as “They danced one summer”, “Tin Soldiers”, “Voice of the Cuckoo”, “Ballad of Johan”, “The song you will start with”, “Four white shirts”.
The first performance of “Minuet” took place in 1968, when six Jūrmala schoolchildren got together, when the brothers Sējāni and Bartašević, together with their associates, started joint rehearsals in rock music.
Inese Pabērza, Adrians Kukuvass, Baiba Jagere, Normunds Puriņš, Juris Sējāns, Leons Sējāns, Raimonds Bartasevics and Ikars Rungis are still playing in the group “Minuets”.
The “Golden 55” anniversary concerts of the “Minuet” group will take place:
August 29 at the Dzintari concert hall October 7 at the Ventspils theater “Jūras vārti” October 21 in Jēkabpils, Krustpils cultural center October 28 at the Ulbrokas pērle cultural center November 12 at the “Cēsis” concert hall November 19 in Rēzekne, Latgale embassy “Gors” 23 . in November at the Ogre Culture Center on November 26 in Riga, VEF Culture Palace
