VAT and Excise Duties on Energy Calculator: Assessing the Impact of New Rules

In order to help our members assess their own situation in the context of the new rules on VAT and excise duties on energy (electricity and gas), we provide them with a calculator (Excel) produced by Ch.- HAS. Verschueren, Financial Director of the municipality of Esneux, who was kind enough to let us know. After a few tests, especially with other financial directors, it seems to us that the calculator works correctly. However, we cannot guarantee its validity with absolute certainty, having been designed in a hurry. See it as a decision-making tool, as one element of analysis among others, but not as a decision-making tool in itself. Finally, note that this calculator takes into account the excise rates in force today, which are nevertheless expected to change.
