Car bomb leaves another policeman dead in Cauca • La Nación


A new terrorist attack perpetrated apparently by Farc dissidents, claimed the life of a uniformed man in Cauca.

According to preliminary information, a vehicle loaded with explosives was activated in front of the Timba substation, municipality of Buenos Aires, Cauca.

As a result of the explosion, subintendent Carmelo José García Gómez suffered serious health problems, who despite being evacuated to a care center, did not survive.

In the community there is outrage because it is the second act of blood that has been recorded in less than 24 hours in the region, leaving a total of 4 policemen murdered as a result. It is worth remembering that the first attack took place yesterday in the municipality of Morales, Cauca, where Michael León Aja, José Laureano Orozco and Eymy Rodríguez Gamboa died.
