The tourist bus caught fire on Jalan Solo-Jogja. The bus turned out to be carrying a group of cadres and legislative candidates PKS from Simo, Boyolali.
Reported detikJateng, Monday (14/8/2023), the bus was said to be carrying a group of Boyolali PKS candidates. However, PKS Boyolali denied this. He said the bus was transporting a group of cadres and sympathizers supporting one PKS Boyolali candidate for the Central Java Provincial DPRD, Tugiman.
“Pak Tugiman has a program, he often has picnics, almost every Sunday. Lha this Sunday happened to be a group from (District) Simo. There was also a group of (supporting) Regency candidates, but some were in the Simo area,” said the Chairperson DPD Boyolali Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Nur Arifin, when asked for confirmation, Sunday (13/8/2023).
He revealed that there were three buses leaving for the picnic this morning. The goal is tourist attractions in Gunungkidul.
“To Drini Beach,” he added.
Just arrived at Jalan Solo-Jogja, Sanggung, Gatak, Sukoharjo, a bus caught fire. Luckily there were no victims in the incident.
“There were no victims. Then there was a bus that followed, a replacement and then the trip went smoothly,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Tugiman did not participate in the burning bus. He confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries from the incident.
