Sports Minister: King Salman Club Cup is a friendly tournament

The Minister of Sports and President of the Arab Football Federation, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, confirmed today, Saturday, that the King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs Champions Football is a friendly tournament.

Where he said in a statement after the end of the final match today, Saturday, “All clubs participated with every effort, although it is a tournament that is considered a friendly tournament, but all clubs competed seriously in this tournament.”

The Minister of Sports concluded his statement by saying, “I wish success to all Arab clubs and teams in the future.”

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo led his team, Al-Nasr, to crown the King Salman Cup for Arab football clubs, for the first time in its history, after defeating its arch-rival Al-Hilal 2/1 in the final of the tournament, which concluded its competitions today, Saturday.

Al-Nasr succeeded in winning the championship for the first time in its history, while Al-Hilal failed to achieve the title for the third time, after it had previously achieved that in 1994 and 1995.
