RIYADH, 12th August, 2020 (WAM) — The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo led his Saudi team, Al-Nasr, to crown the King Salman Football Club Cup for the first time in its history, by defeating Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia 2-1 on Saturday evening.
The match was held at the King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Taif, and it was extended to overtime after the original time ended with a 1-1 draw.
And with ten players, the victory with Ronaldo’s double turned the tables on Al-Hilal, who advanced in the 51st minute through Michel Delgado, so that Cristiano Ronaldo returned and scored his goals in the 74th and 98th minutes, after his teammate Abdullah Al-Omari was sent off in the 71st minute.
Ronaldo won his first title with Al-Nassr, and he also won the title of top scorer in the tournament with 6 goals.
